ABOUT ME

Born in 1993 in Samsun, Özyurt graduated from the Department of International Relations and the European Union (English) at Maltepe University. During his undergraduate studies, he successfully completed the Erasmus Economics & Sociology program at the University of Lodz in Poland with a scholarship. He later obtained his master’s degree in Sociology, focusing his academic research on “Mass Culture.”

Özyurt began his professional career in the media sector and worked as a photojournalist at Milliyet Newspaper. During this period, he gained extensive experience in news production, visual storytelling, and field reporting.

Since his university years, he has actively taken part in social media management, content strategy, and digital communication for various individuals and institutions.

While working within Maltepe University, Özyurt undertook various roles in corporate communication, digital content production, and project development. He also served as the Director of the Entrepreneurship Center, contributing to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation-oriented projects.

He currently serves as the Communications Coordinator at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Legal Consultancy. In this role, he continues to lead institutional communication processes, provide speechwriting and content development for senior executives, design social media strategies, and shape the public communication language of the institution.
